"The Wheel & The Dance" ~ by Wendell Berry
"The Wheel & The Dance" ~ by Wendell Berry
A limited edition letterpress booklet featuring two exceptional poems by Wendell Berry — “The Wheel” & “The Dance”.
These poems are linked together by beautiful, brilliant evocations of the circles of time, song, and relationships. Celebrated American poet Wendell Berry is at his best here, weaving imagery of the rhythm of music and the wheel of the seasons, of lives past and present, and of the fidelity of love even through change. Though lovely on their own, pairing the poems amplifies their shared resonance, sounding both the melody and the harmonies of life — and love — together.
The text is handset in the Joanna family of metal types designed by Eric Gill in 1930, with Civilité metal type for titling.
Traditional metal printer’s ornaments are arranged in “wheel” and “dance” motifs for decoration on the jacket, title, and colophon pages.
