Fourteen short poems by Emily Hancock, written during 2020 and 2021, evoking the presence and endurance of the world close-at-hand, even during times of great challenge and change — even here, even now.
Typeset by hand in Perpetua (designed by Eric Gill in the 1920s), and letterpress printed on a foot-treadled Golding Pearl (itself made in 1909). Title page illustration is hand-printed from a Japanese maple leaf. Text paper is handmade Okawara (Japan), with Thai banana-leaf interleaving sheets. The Nepalese lokta wraps were “sun-printed” with clover. All hand-sewn with linen thread. Size: 4” x 3”. Limited edition of 48 numbered and signed chapbooks.
